5 years!
It with joy and excitement that I am annoucing a series of special events to celebrate the five years anniversary of the studio!
The last few years, including two during the pandemic, were not always easy, but thanks to your support and generosity, I am still here, and the studio continues to thrive and share the passion of art embroidery and needle arts. We have shared years of rich encounters and lovely moments and you are cordially invited to come and celebrate with me during three upcoming events:

Come join for a festive happy hour Meet the students, colleagues, collaborators and friends of Studio Textile, all of whom have contributed in their own way to keeping the studio alive for the last five years.
Let’s share a nice moment together, to meet, to share and to exchange with passionate needle art lovers! Reservation kindly requested by email at info@tamararubilar.com.

Exhibition opening June 6 2024 at 5PM
Studio textile is launching an open call for everyone to participate in a group exhibition!
From June 6 to 9, come and discover embroidered works from across the province. A unique event to celebrate creativity and the art of embroidery.
The exhibition will continue until June 9.
Free event open to all, no reservation required.

Talk with special guests
Based in Baie Saint Paul, Marie Renée Otis is an art embroiderer, whose works are featured in many museums and private collections. She has been part in group an individual exhibitions in several countries around the world.
Being active in her community, she launched her book in March 2024, “Abundance and Gratitude” that celebrates more than 40 years of a prolific international career in art embroidery.
Natalie Dupuis obtained her needlework and art training at many different locations in England and North America. She has been invited to teach and lecture for the San Francisco School of Needlework and Design, the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada, the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, the Crewel Work Company, and Blue Bonnet Studio. In 2020, she developed a virtual needlework school through teachable.com for in-depth online learning of history and colour theory combined with goldwork.
Natalie’s work is featured in Embroidery Canada magazine, the USA’s Needle Arts magazine, frequently in Australia’s Inspirations magazine, a series in Piecework magazine, and is part of the 2023 Design Collective book published by Inspirations Studios.
Come and meet two exceptional embroidery artists, Marie Renée Otis et Natalie Dupuis, who will talk about their journey, their inspiration, and their experience as professional embroiderers. The talk will take place in studio 213 and will be posted by Tamara Rubilar. A friendly drink will follow. (Bilingual chat).
