Introduction to goldwork

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of goldwork embroidery. How to work with specific metallic supplies: soft and pearl purl, gold threads, leather appliqué, flat metal ribbon. We will see different techniques such as couching, chipping, filling stitches, felt padding and soft string padding. This is a beginner class but you must be confortable with fine work. The scroll frame is loaned to you for the class.
You must bring:
- small scissors
- pencil
- notebook
- pin box
- tweezers
