Introduction to Tambour beading

Learn the famous Luneville technique, also called tambour beading, used in the Haute couture Paris embroidery workshops. We will see how to set the scroll frame, the main basic chain stitch and how to work with beads. With this technique you’ll be able to create sumptuous and delicate embroidery designs.
We will make various exercices to design outlines, fill shapes and create a floral design with gold metallic thread and beads. Materials and hook included. You can buy the frame at the end of the class (57$).
You need to bring:
- box of solid pins
- small scissors
- small ruler
- pencil and notebook
- a big bag to carry the scroll frame
